{"id":25,"date":"2013-08-21T18:56:35","date_gmt":"2013-08-21T18:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fubatf.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=25"},"modified":"2013-08-21T18:58:50","modified_gmt":"2013-08-21T18:58:50","slug":"about-batf-gene","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fubatf.org\/wordpress\/about-batf-gene\/","title":{"rendered":"About BATF Gene"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Basic leucine zipper transcription factor, ATF-like<\/b>, also known as\u00a0<b>BATF<\/b>, is a\u00a0<a title=\"Protein\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Protein\">protein<\/a>\u00a0which in humans is encoded by the\u00a0<i>BATF\u00a0<\/i><a title=\"Gene\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gene\">gene<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear basic leucine zipper (<a title=\"BZIP domain\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BZIP_domain\">bZIP<\/a>) protein that belongs to the\u00a0<a title=\"AP-1 transcription factor\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AP-1_transcription_factor\">AP-1<\/a>\/<a title=\"Activating transcription factor\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Activating_transcription_factor\">ATF<\/a>\u00a0superfamily of\u00a0<a title=\"Transcription factor\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Transcription_factor\">transcription factors<\/a>. The leucine zipper of this protein mediates dimerization with members of the\u00a0<a title=\"C-jun\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/C-jun\">Jun<\/a>\u00a0family of proteins.
